Our Banking client in Jersey City, NJ is looking to hire a Lead Reporting Analyst or Lead Regulatory Analyst for a 5months contract role. The work can be performed remotely as well.

Project Summary:

US Regulatory Services is responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and complete reporting to various exchanges, self-regulatory organizations and the SEC. The team (approx. 15 FTE) is split between BA’s and Production staff which are further aligned toward individual regulatory reports. This position is on the Production team, working as the Electronic Blue Sheet Team Lead during an extended leave.

Ideally the candidate has some years of Sell-Side (Broker / Dealer) experience in an Operations (Middle Office (Trade or Sales Support) / Back Office (settlements)) role. Unfortunately, the roles really don’t lend themselves to candidates from the buy-side or with KYC / AML experience. 

Daily Responsibilities:  

The individual in this role is primarily responsible for day-to-day operational execution of the EBS Production reporting team. This includes indirect supervision of junior employees in a manager or Team Lead capacity as well as direct “ownership” of functions. Functions within the team can include remediating issues identified; control and risk management and reporting process improvement; providing support for regulatory change initiatives; and researching and responding to regulatory inquiries and exams.

Technology/Software:

•        Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel (inclusive of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint, and Outlook

Must Have Skills:

•        Electronic Blue Sheets Reporting (3 – 5 years)

•        Management / Leadership Skills (3 – 5 years)

•        Financial Products (Equities / Options) (3 - 5 years)

•        Trade Lifecycle knowledge (3 – 5 years)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

•        Interpersonal Skills.

•        Organization Skills.

•        Some experience in Front Office / Middle Office trade processing is a plus.

Soft Skills:

Ability to work well under pressure, adapt to unexpected events, prioritize and multi-task in a deadline driven environment. High attention to detail. Demonstrated dependability and sense of urgency about getting results.
