Our client, the third largest producer of Canadian oil and natural gas and the second largest refiner and upgrader with extensive midstream and downstream infrastructure, has an immediate need for a Safety Analyst. This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Lloydminster, Alberta.

Description

Safety Analyst will support Health and Safety and HRO activities that were previously the responsibility of the Upgrader

Accountabilities 

  • Analyze, Permit to Work, Lock Out Tag Out and Transfer of Care and Custody Safety Inspections
  • Analyze, Watchkeeping, Safe Control of Work and Walk the Line Standards for compliance
  • Provide training to Operations personnel for Safety Systems and Procedures
  • Site Specific Safety Manual Administrator
  •  Incident Management System Administrator
  • Administrator for STOP DataPro, Blackline Safety, Everbridge, Drive Safe
  • Site Safety Communications
  • Outage / Turnaround support to coach and mentor contractors Safety Department that now reports to Corporate SOI&E

Required 

  • High School Diploma
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • Canadian Safety Advisor or equivalent certification
  • Valid H2S and First Aid certifications
  • Demonstrated intermediate to expert level computer skills in database type applications and publishing software (graphs, power point presentations, reports, etc.). Proven capability to explore and learn new programs.
  • Experience and exposure to a computerized safety incident management process / program
  • Have a general understanding of the principles of effective information and document management. Understands business and information processes
  • Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • A solid understanding of occupational health and safety legislation in the province of Saskatchewan
  • A minimum of 2-4 years' experience as a safety advisor in industry
  • Nice to have
  • Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation or a related post-secondary certificate.
  • Knowledge of oil and gas operations
