Sourcing Leader

ESSENTIAL Responsibilities:

• Execute Indirect Sourcing teams strategies for Indirects Sourcing in North America, with main emphasis on Canada.
• Lead strategic sourcing commercial negotiations with suppliers, incl. price, volumes/capacity,T&Cs, delivery, Incoterms, payment, warranty and vendor recovery for Indirect Materials and Services.
• Negotiate, implement, and manage supplier contracts working through GE Renewable Indirect Sourcing Team.
• Leads Indirect Sourcing projects to drive deflation and meet deflation target.
• Serve as North America Sourcing Liason for Hydro, LM Wind, and Grid Canada key stakeholders.
• Lead Productivity projects for Indirect Materials & Services across Commodities as well as monitors and drive cost-out initiatives.
• Identify and vet new Indirects Sourcing suppliers.
• Develop and execute upon e-auction strategy.
• Own supplier scorecard for his/her commodities and suppliers.
• Responsible for projects in iManage savings Database and updating purchasing systems.
• Monitors supplier financial and general business health.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS :

• Must be fluent in French and English languages.
• BA or BS Degree or other advanced degree.
• At least 3 years of experience in Sourcing function.
• Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills with ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; strong PC and database management skills.
• Strong communication (verbal, written & presentation).

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

• Renewables Business experience.
• 5-7 years Sourcing experience.
• Experience with Powermax, Axapta, SAP ERPs.
• Project management & process improvement skills.
