Our Client who plays a vital role in Alberta's Energy Industry by ensuring public safety and the environment - and contributing to responsible, efficient, and safe energy development. Has an immediate need for a Informatica Developer. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Calgary, Alberta.

 Description

The Informatica Developer in this role will perform requirements and data analysis. Define and document data mapping. Assist with developing data dictionary and metadata. Deliver user interface code and other programming tasks assigned by project team. 

 Accountabilities

  • Perform requirements and data analysis. Define and document data mapping.
  • Assist with developing data dictionary and metadata. 
  • Produce Informatica based integration and ETL solutions by actively participating in the requirements, solution, design, implementation, testing, and deployment phases of all assigned projects.  
  • Provide continuous documentation, support, enhancement, and improvement to the enterprise wide Informatica based data integration and data warehouse solutions. 
  • Assist with installing and upgrading Informatica products.
  • Develop standards and best practices for data quality, data dictionary, and metadata management. 
  • Apply the development processes established by the development team such as the revision of code, follow-up and change management and all DevOps practices including Unit Testing, Continuous Delivery
  • Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned by project team.  

 Required

  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining and supporting custom developed solutions in Informatica and/or other ETL tools
  • Good knowledge of databases and data integration and data warehouse solution
  • Basic knowledge of Azure Service (e.g. Storage, Resource Group, etc.), data pipelines, datalakes, databricks etc.
  • Experience working within an Agile team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Determined to deliver products on time, according to pre-established quality standards;
