Our Client who plays a vital role in Alberta's Energy Industry by ensuring public safety and the environment - and contributing to responsible, efficient, and safe energy development. Has an immediate need for a Business Analyst - Business Process ERP Functions. This is a contract position for six (6) months located in Calgary, Alberta.

Description

This project is in support of, an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) discovery. This involves development of a roadmap, program plan and directions for implementation of any technology solutions determined through this discovery project. This project is an important input to the strategic initiatives for the financial management plan, organizational governance model and information management technology plan.

Deliverables 

  • Creation and completion of process decomposition diagrams
  • Creation and completion of business capability maps and corresponding decomposition(s)
  • Creation and completion of cross-functional flow diagrams
  • Creation and completion of business requirements 
  • Sign off for document mapping by the business SME’s

Accountabilities 

  • Participate and actively engage in an enterprise discovery project to determine the future of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) 
  • Meet with business SME’s to gather business requirements and understand business processes
  • Translate gathered requirements into an RFI/RFP
  • Interpret business SME requirements and translate them into functional and non-functional requirements 
  • Document associated business processes based on these business requirements
  • Development of requirements traceability to ensure all requirements are met and properly documented
  • Leading/facilitating meetings to elicit requirements and present/share ideas and findings
  • Active participation in project team meetings

Required

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field
  • Recognized BA Certification is preferred  
  • PROSCI certification is a nice to have
  • Must have experience with the creation and documentation of process decomposition
  • Must have experience with business capability mapping and decomposition, in support of business architecture 
  • Must have experience in creation of cross functional flow diagrams
  • Must have experience creating and participating in RFI/RFPs for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholder groups 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Pro-active problem solver and collaborative team player 
  • Using their expertise to voice constructive opinions
  • Able to work independently to deliver results while also working collaboratively within a team to delivery high quality work
  • Ability to manage expectations of business and core project team members

Skills – RECOMMENDED (Nice to Have

  • Experience working on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in an implementation or discovery context (or both)
  • Fundamental understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and its associated processes and outcomes
  • Experience in system design and requirements via business architecture
