Our Banking client in Jersey City, NJ is looking to hire a US Regulatory Services Senior Associate for a 6months contract role. This position is remote and can be worked from anywhere in the states.

What you will be doing…

The individual in this role is primarily responsible for day-to-day operational execution of the EBS Production reporting team. This includes indirect supervision of junior employees in a Manager or Team Lead capacity as well as direct “ownership” of functions. Functions within the team can include remediating issues identified; control and risk management and reporting process improvement; providing support for regulatory change initiatives; and researching and responding to regulatory inquiries and exams.

What you will need to succeed…

Knowledge and Experience:

•        Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required, preferably in Engineering or Business or a related subject.

•        Understanding of financial products (Equities, Listed Derivatives, Fixed Income, and/or OTC Derivatives).

•        Strong understanding of the trade life cycle (Orders, Executions, Allocations) is required.

•        Some understanding of Middle Office Trade Processing is required.

•        Some experience in Front Office / Middle Office trade processing is a plus.

•        Management experience is a plus.

•        Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel (inclusive of Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs), PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Must Have Skills:

•        Electronic Blue Sheets Reporting (3 – 5 years).

•        Management / Leadership Skills (3 – 5 years).

•        Financial Products (Equities / Options) ( 3 - 5 years).

•        Trade Lifecycle knowledge (3 – 5 years).

Nice-To-Have Skills:

•        Interpersonal Skills.

•        Organization Skills.

•        Some experience in Front Office / Middle Office trade processing is a plus.

Important:

•        Manager looking for a backfill for 5 months for a maternity leave (early June-Sept) – hire is urgent so there’s some crossover/training

•        Candidate will essentially be taking on the role of Team Lead

•        Candidates might not have direct EBS (Electronic Blue Sheets) Production experience, however you might find candidates from JP Morgan

•        Regulatory reporting experience is a must and should be highlighted in resume

•        3-5 years of exp within financial services

•        Looking for trade support exp, knowledge of equities

•        Full contract length is expected to be remote – contractor can be located anywhere in the States (please specify location on resume just in case)
