Our Client, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies with operations in natural gas, oil and power industries throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico has an immediate need for a Supply Chain Category Contract Analyst. This is a contract position for one (1) year located in Calgary, Alberta.

Description

The role is responsible for assisting in contract administration, contract development and strategic sourcing efforts for multi-year agreements. You will be developing and supporting relationships with Corporate Teams, Leadership and Energy suppliers. As an active contributor to the IS software and services sourcing and contracting effort. You will also spend 50% of your available capacity supporting the wide variety of corporate business units ranging from Human Resources through to focused areas including facilities and corporate security. In this role you provide market information, analytics, insight and execution support for an $8 - $12 million+/year corporate services portfolio consisting of Corporate Travel, Communications, Public Affairs, Corporate Security, Treasury, Research and Development and Records Management. On the IS side the role provides similar competency and capacity for IS professional services, and software agreement management.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for identifying and compiling internal demand needs;
  • Help developing should cost modelling and understanding of industry specification benchmarks;
  • Support development of category execution strategies;  
  • Maintain contract records in SAP and CMS, ensuring governance requirements are met at all times;
  • Develop, issue and manage tender documents (RFPs, RFQ, RFIs, e.);
  • Negotiate contract commercial terms, ensuring they meet requirements of internal stakeholders (i.e., risk, legal, project management, e.) and TransCanada standards;
  • Administer contracts including issuance, negotiation and approval of change orders, RFI's, e.;
  • Lead proposal analyses and proposal commercial evaluations;
  • Coordinate overall RFP evaluations with project clients;
  • Facilitate cross-functional team engagement during contract competitive sourcing, formation, administration and negotiation;
  • Support administration of categories contracts in the Contract Management System;
  • Support development and administration of category reporting dashboard;
  • Manage contract amendment process and Terms and Conditions improvement;
  • Responsible for contract documentation and archiving process and post contract award management activities

Required 

  • A University Degree and/or designation in Business, or in a Supply Chain Management program;
  • Minimum 3 years of Supply Chain Management, experience,
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with relevant SAP/Ariba/PowerBI modules an asset;
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills; able to distill concepts and make them compelling; gain buy-in from executive-level stakeholders;
  • Aptitude for technical topics, i.e., when sourcing a technical material or service, candidate is naturally interested in learning technical details of the material/service; experience with terms and conditions;
  • Demonstrates credible project management skills including stakeholder, timeline, and meeting management
