Our client, a market leading financial institution, has an immediate need for a Senior Research Manager. This is a contract position for two (2) months located in Calgary, Alberta.


What you will be doing...

  • Leading a UX research program from start to finish; with a stronger focus on qualitative research [project kick offs, requirements gathering, moderate internal workshops, create & program questionnaires, conduct usability testing (in-person and remote moderated), build personas, conduct heuristics, ethnography, journey mapping, test wireframes, A/B testing, to presenting story driven experiences etc.]
  • Managing quantitative research projects from inception to presentation; you have a strong understanding of methodologies, writing surveys, data analysis, and writing and presenting the story to stakeholders.
  • Work on cross collaborative teams with various stakeholders including UX Designers, developers, product owners, service designers, business analysts, executives, etc.

  • Works independently, but enjoys regular jam sessions to collaborate and learn new things
  • You can multitask on several different projects in one day and manage several different types of relationships
  • You love to share your knowledge and would be happy to guide less experienced team members on the process of conducting top notch research
  • You come with 10+yrs experience studying user behavior and values through usability testing and quantitative analysis
  • University undergrad or higher in UX Research, Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Experimental Psychology, Computer Science, Business, or related field
  • Can program in Qualtrics and User testing (or similar tools) using JAVA or HTML scripting
  • You are comfortable with using tools other than Microsoft Office for storytelling, project management, and analytics. For example; Prezi, Haiku, Miro, Jira, Google Suite, Mr. Tappy, SPSS etc.
  • Must know how to analyze quantitative data using SPSS
  • You are comfortable with and can converse in the UX Designer and Developer languages (JAVA, HTML, CSS, Adobe XD etc.) and testing of wireframes
  • Overnight travel maybe required across Alberta
