Production Manager

The role

We are currently looking to appoint a full time Production Manager to work at our East and South East Melbourne sites. You will oversee the production management of five concrete plants and our fleet of drivers. 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that operational plans, objectives and site requirements are met to ensure that plant and equipment are operated at optimum cost, highest availability, safely and without environmental impact. Furthermore, compliance with all business policies, procedures and requirements are a key responsibility of this role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, health and environmental standards are maintained
• Provide leadership and guidance to your team of plant managers, supervisor and drivers
• Manage profit & loss budget
• Manage plant and vehicle maintenance
• Ensure a high level of customer service
• Implement prevention maintenance and operational plans
• Assist with strategic development of our business

What you will need to succeed

• Industry experience especially in regards to the management of a concrete plant will be an advantage
• Strong health safety and environment focus
• Excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills
• The ability to foster a collaborative team environment
• Sound computer literacy skills
