Concrete Plant Manager - Sunshine Coast

The role

Hy-Tec currently has an opportunity for a Plant Manager to manage our Sunshine Coast concrete plants.  Reporting to the Production Manager, this is your opportunity to become an integral team member at one of Australia’s leading construction materials producers.

With a strong focus on quality and continuous improvement, you will lead by example and foster an organisational culture of integrity and pride in strong customer service in your small, close-knit team.

This role will provide you with the scope to deliver important short and long-term improvements, which are critical for our ongoing growth and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, health, environmental and Chain of Responsibility requirements are met.
• Schedule & supervision of batching staff across four concrete plants located at Coolum, Maroochydore, Kawana and Beerwah
• Provide supervision to Concrete Agitator Drivers (company & Lorry Owner Drivers)
• Coordinate plant maintenance & perform basic maintenance.
• Manage stocks of raw materials
• Ensure a high level of customer service.
• Cash Sale Reconciliation
• Active support to plant staff (including order taking and batching)
• Manage / support Customer Projects

 What you will need to succeed

• Previous experience in a supervisor position in the construction materials industry
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organisational and problem-solving skill
• Forklift and Front-End Loader licenses (preferred)
• Be able to identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies.
• A strong customer service focus           
• Knowledge of complete plants
