The role
We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Maintenance Fitter/ Welder for our site at Telegraph Point.
You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
- Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
- Deliver mechanical maintenance services on site
- Implement and carry out routine preventative maintenance
- Participate in the maintenance program including preventative and corrective maintenance
- Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
- Undertake tasks associated with maintenance shutdowns including assistance with planning and organising as required
- Manage the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of production moulds to tight tolerances
- Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to drive continuous improvement
What you will need to succeed
- Trade Qualification - Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting with welding and machining competence
- Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage
- Proven history in mechanical maintenance, repairs and hydraulics experience
- Willingness to be cross trained in all machinery and aspects of operations
- Current Fork license preferred
- Computer literacy skills especially with Excel, Word, Outlook
- A good understanding of computer systems including SAP would be highly regarded
- Excellent communication ability with strong interpersonal skills
