The role

We are currently seeking to appoint a full time Maintenance Fitter/ Welder for our site at Telegraph Point.

You will be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs with a particular emphasis on planned and predictive maintenance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety, health and environment standards are maintained
  • Deliver mechanical maintenance services on site
  • Implement and carry out routine preventative maintenance
  • Participate in the maintenance program including preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Effectively respond to callouts and unplanned maintenance in a timely manner, ensuring minimal downtime
  • Undertake tasks associated with maintenance shutdowns including assistance with planning and organising as required
  • Manage the preparation, maintenance and cleaning of production moulds to tight tolerances
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of plans to drive continuous improvement


What you will need to succeed

  • Trade Qualification - Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting with welding and machining competence
  • Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be an advantage
  • Proven history in mechanical maintenance, repairs and hydraulics experience
  • Willingness to be cross trained in all machinery and aspects of operations
  • Current Fork license preferred
  • Computer literacy skills especially with Excel, Word, Outlook
  • A good understanding of computer systems including SAP would be highly regarded
  • Excellent communication ability with strong interpersonal skills
