The role

If you have a passion for customer service in the Concrete industry and a talent for problem solving and prioritising workload, then this is the opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Batch Plant Operator to join our plant at Kingaroy.

In this dynamic and varied role, you’ll be essential to meeting customer expectations throughout the ordering and delivery process. Your responsibilities will include delivering excellent customer service, processing orders, batching concrete to precise customer specifications, and efficiently scheduling and dispatching deliveries to optimise the use of our concrete agitator trucks.

Additionally, you'll operate both mobile and fixed plant equipment, such as front-end loaders and forklifts.

Responsibilities

  • Represent the Hy-Tec brand and provide excellent phone-based customer service.
  • Take orders and finalise the sale of pre-mixed concrete for delivery.
  • Batch concrete to specific mix designs via a computerized system
  • Use software packages to schedule rostering and truck movements for the region.
  • Ensure Chain of Responsibility requirements are adhered to at all times.
  • Order raw materials

What you will need to succeed

  • Previous experience in a similar role (highly regarded)
  • Previous experience in Command/Jonel batching systems (desired but not essential)
  • Experienced Plant Operator (FEL preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of constant change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customers.
  • Confident when working with computers.
