Batch Plant Operator

Hy-Tec currently has an opportunity for a Batch Plant Operator to join our team in Kingaroy. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys multitasking, working with customers, coordinating logistics, and being part of a fast-paced operational environment.

No concrete batching experience? No problem. We will provide full training and support to help you succeed.

This is a great opportunity for someone from manufacturing, transport, warehousing, agriculture, logistics, or plant operations who is looking to build a stable long-term career with a nationally recognised business.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Take customer phone calls and process orders using batching systems
• Learn all duties of a concrete shipper and concrete batcher
• Coordinate truck allocations to ensure timely concrete deliveries
• Batch concrete to required mix designs
• Build strong relationships with customers and drivers through excellent service
• Perform raw material stock ordering and inventory coordination
• Carry out general plant maintenance and yard duties
• Operate a Front-End Loader (preferred but not essential)
• Assist with housekeeping and maintaining a safe work environment

What you will need to Succeed

• Experience in a similar role and confidence with computers (Command/Jonel batching systems) would be highly regarded
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse customers
• Plant Operator experience (FEL preferred)
• Proven ability to prioritise work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol testing in line with company policy.
