As the Team Lead of the Marketing Managers, you will provide hands-on support and guidance to the team on the strategy and execution of flawless marketing plans. This is a hands-on role and as a Marketing Manager you will also be responsible for the strategy and execution of core marketing campaigns that you own. You will work hand in hand with the GM of Marketing & Cards on the overall marketing strategies as well as be required to roll up your sleeves and deliver as a Marketing Manager within the team. As the Team Lead you will be a coach to the Marketing Managers that you lead and provide them with guidance to hone their professional skills. What does an average day look like?

The role is accountable for:

  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to support the business objectives and the Australia strategy
  • Define and drive B2B and B2C marketing strategy with a strong focus on both traditional and digital marketing channels and the use of customer insight and data to drive ROI for both sellers and customers.
  • Lead a team of marketers by providing guidance and support to deliver best in class marketing strategies.
  • Implementing and monitoring the progress of marketing plans and advertising campaigns.
  • In partnership with the GM Marketing, preparing and updating marketing budgets, regularly reporting on performance against target and providing variance analyses
  • Liaising with other divisions/departments to build out a strong stakeholder network to drive success.
  • Work with the GM on overall brand strategy for the products and the group brand
  • Working cross functionally to bring a consistent brand to life throughout the customer experience - Brand, content, creative and tone of voice.

Who will thrive in this role?

This role will suit a cross functional marketer with experience across paid media, search, direct to customer, B2B and brand who has experience managing and coaching a small team. You have strategic marketing experience across all customer stages as well as experience with marketing budgets. Your analytical skills will allow you to communicate analytical information across various groups and your negotiation and influencing skills both internal and external as well developed. You are comfortable navigating relationships with media agencies and paid media with a focus on delivery to campaign ROI.

Tertiary qualification in a business-related discipline with 5+ years’ experience in a similar remit. This role suits a current Marketing Manager or Senior Marketing Manager that wants to lead and coach a marketing team while they deliver their own strategic initiatives. Experience in financial services and/or start-up preferred. Experience working in paid media. Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience preferred but not essential.
