What’s so exciting about this role?

 As a leading member of the Product – Cards team and reporting to the GM Marketing & Cards, AU, you play an integral part in the success of the Cards business for Australia. This is not a delivery product management role however you will work alongside a delivery squad to turn our strategy and product vision into a reality. You will also assist in developing and implementing a customer-led product roadmap designed to deliver unrivalled customer experiences and growth. You will lead the card remediation working group to ensure we do right by our customers when issues arise. 

What does an average day look like?

  • Alongside the GM of Cards, actively drive the management of the Cards P&L and key business drivers to deliver profitable sustainable growth
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders and be the driving force behind the implementation of the Cards strategy
  • Lead the Customer Remediation working group for the Australian cards business
  • Work alongside the GM Cards to develop the product vision and strategy for all cards products which will influence the product delivery roadmap
  • Listen to customers’ feedback and address their pain points to create unrivalled experiences so they recommend our products.
  • Embrace the challenges of the regulatory environment and ensure we never compromise and are compliant.
  • Lead a team of Product Managers and effectively collaborate and lead cross functional working groups to deliver profitable outcomes for the Cards business.

 

Who will thrive in this role?

 Someone with a strong commercial and strong customer focus, a proactive approach towards driving profitable growth and with the ability to operate in and contribute to a fast-paced environment.

We expect someone to have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in product management and a minimum of 2 years in credit card product management plus experience in financial services P&L product management. You think outside the square, are not afraid to challenge the status quo and can be nimble and flexible in your approach. We expect our leaders to also be ‘doers’ so a roll up your sleeves attitude is a must.
