What's so exciting about this role?

Reporting to our CEO - Ireland, the purpose of this role is to lead the Finance function of Flexifi Europe Limited (trading as humm) part of ASX listed hummgroup (Group). As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for the financial planning and reporting, treasury and tax obligations of the firm working closely with internal and external stakeholders ensure compliance with all accounting, legal and regulatory obligations.

What does and average day look like?

No day is average at humm but here’s an idea of what you can expect to do in this role:

  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting, including the preparation and presentation of monthly financial and management accounts to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparation and filing of all statutory returns, including interim and year-end financial statements.
  • Planning, co-ordinating and managing internal and external audits.
  • Liaising with external tax advisors to ensure the firms’ tax arrangements are appropriately structured and managed, including ensuring timely filing of all tax returns.
  • Ensuring appropriate levels of relevant insurances are always in place for the firm.
  • Reviewing and negotiating financial terms in third party agreements and maintaining oversight of all outsourced services relating to the Finance function.
  • Managing key commercial, banking and relevant regulatory relationships.
  • Advising the CEO on the financial performance of the firm and the identification and management of financial risk, including stress testing where required.
  • Driving and supporting data and reporting transformation on the firms’ portfolio, including reporting benchmarking and improvements.
  • Contributing to broader transformation initiatives in a leadership capacity.
  • Collaborating closely with the Group’s finance, tax and treasury teams to ensure delivery of all requirements for the Irish business are to a consistently high standard.

We are also looking for someone who brings:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA).
  • 5+ years at a senior level in the finance function of a regulated financial services firm in Ireland, with previous PCF 11 experience preferred;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and appropriate tailoring to the audience with ability to develop and deliver Board presentations and papers;
  • Strong numeracy skills;
  • Good strategic judgement, business acumen and dealing with ambiguity; and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and manage stakeholder engagement and expectations.
