We’re on the lookout for an experienced National Events Manager to join our team. A core function within the Clients and Growth team, this role is responsible for bringing our client experience (CX) to life across key touchpoints - surprising and delighting current and prospective clients with exceptional execution and standout experiences.
Combining meticulous attention to detail with creative flair, you’ll work with internal stakeholders across the country to create and execute events that leave an indelible mark in our clients’ minds. From venue selection to suppliers, operation and logistics, and communications, you’ll oversee the end-to-end design and creation of events across HPX Group – helping to elevate the way they look, feel and are experienced by those who attend.
Beyond individual events, you’ll implement and oversee our national events process, working closely with support staff and Growth Managers across our offices to ensure a cohesive, consistently exceptional experience nationwide. The role
- Define national client-facing events strategy to drive relationships, brand preference, revenue growth and client stickiness.
- Act as a business partner to the Clients and Growth team, Leadership teams, and Partners, managing the delivery of events and experiences in line with objectives, budget and overarching firm campaigns.
- Own and drive the end-to-end design and creation of digital and in-person events and experiences, including project management, event logistics, client event communications, event branding and marketing, and using the CRM to track attendees.
- Continuously identify new opportunities to enhance our national events in line with our brand positioning, including firm-driven events and activations.
- Identify new venues and novel experiences that we can take to our clients and regularly provide proactive suggestions to Growth Managers and the broader Clients and Growth team.
- Implement and oversee national events process, working with support staff and Growth Managers, to ensure consistency of office-driven events.
- Provide post-event reports, measure ROI and provide recommendations for future events.
- Relationships · Work closely with internal stakeholders (Partners, Directors, marketing, Growth Managers, support staff)
- Manage relationships with external suppliers and vendors – including venues, Gastronomy and other event and experience providers – to ensure consistency and quality of events
- Due to the nature of this role, some interstate travel is required from time to time.
What you bring
- 10 years' experience in event management, with a proven track record of producing high-quality client events.
- Strong external and executive event management, planning and execution experience.
- A keen eye for detail and strong project management skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal engagement and communications (oral / written).
- Exceptional coordination and project execution experience.
- Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills across teams, from C-suite to partners, lawyers and graduates.
- Highly organised with an ability to manage multiple competing priorities and work in a fast-paced organisation.
- Process improvement experience, with a focus on creating efficiencies and ensuring compliance with a growth mindset.
- Experience within professional services or in legal practice is highly desirable.
