The role
This newly created position will offer a motivated security manager the opportunity to be a core member of one of Australia’s fastest growing and innovative, professional services businesses. Working closely with Senior Manager – Technology and Innovation, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and management of information security operations across the Group. If you are currently working for a consultancy security firm and are looking for a chance to run your own show, this is it!
This role can be completed from any of our east-coast offices (Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, or Brisbane), and is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of both in-office and remote work. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively from home or in our office as needed and be able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the role include:
- developing, implementing and managing the Group’s security strategy aligned with the organisation’s goals and risk profile;
- developing, implement and managing the Group’s information and cyber security protocols, processes and systems;
- assist with the management of the Group’s security-related risk, compliance and governance requirements;
- manage the Group’s security incident planning and response capability; and
- lead and manage other security-related projects.
About you
We’re looking for someone:
- with tertiary qualifications in security management, cyber security operations, or incident response;
- who is an experienced security leader and enthusiastic about cyber security;
- with a strong understanding of cloud security principles – including across IaaS, PaaS and SaaS;
- with a comprehensive understanding of modern detection, response and analytical toolsets;
- with experience leading security maturity uplift in line with industry leading frameworks;
- who has strong stakeholder management skills, and will be a pragmatic, driven and autonomous professional who thrives in a growing and fast environment;
- who has strong communication skills and excellent organisational abilities; and
- with excellent attention to detail and the ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities.
