Please note: While the preferred location of this role is our Trustee office in Melbourne, we are open to considering this also being a Sydney, Adelaide or Brisbane based role. 

About the role:

We're on the lookout for an exceptional Product Disclosure Manager to join our dynamic team at Hostplus. Reporting directly to the Head of Product Enablement, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our product disclosure communication framework and strategy and ensuring that our members are well-informed about crucial updates and changes affecting their Hostplus accounts. 

Your leadership will steer the development and execution of Hostplus' product disclosure communication materials, ensuring they align with the latest regulatory and legislative standards. Your role extends beyond managing tasks; you'll be at the forefront of establishing a framework that enables seamless, clear, and compliant communication between Hostplus and our valued members. 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities: 

You will ensure that the Fund’s disclosures are compliant and aligned to industry best practice and consistently, positively and accurately represent Hostplus’ products and brand. This includes: 

  • Establishment of a robust disclosure design, review, and delivery framework 
  • Consistent adherence to Hostplus product disclosure and Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) requirements 
  • Timely delivery of updated disclosure documents in accordance with agreed timeframes 
  • Maintenance of meticulous governance, process, and document management to avoid disclosure errors 
  • Proactive planning for all disclosure updates in collaboration with key stakeholders 
  • Exemplifying Hostplus values and behaviors in all interactions. 

About you:

  • Lead Compliance Initiatives 

Your guidance, alongside the Head of Product Enablement, will be vital in maintaining the ongoing compliance of all Hostplus product disclosures. This involves meticulous oversight of our suite of product disclosure documents and member communications, such as significant event notices (SENs), website and dashboard updates, and other crucial actions to ensure consistent compliance. 

  • Plan and Implement Disclosure Strategies 

Your strategic vision will be instrumental in developing and implementing an annual plan for disclosure releases, aligning them with our business objectives and optimizing available resources. Your effective communication skills will foster collaboration with stakeholders and ensure smooth project execution. 

  • Manage Communication Processes 

Your proactive approach will be critical in spearheading end-to-end project management of disclosure communication initiatives, collaborating closely with subject matter experts to comprehend the impact of legislative changes on our members. You'll champion the member's perspective, guaranteeing that all communications prioritize their needs. 

Providing leadership for all product disclosures matters, such as and including product led incident management and remediation activities, delivery of key existing and new product disclosure and regulatory change tasks and functions; 

  • Enhance Governance Frameworks 

Continuous improvement will be the cornerstone of your role, as you identify opportunities for enhancing our existing product governance frameworks. Your keen eye for detail will ensure the accuracy and timeliness of all disclosure materials, along with the implementation of modern governance documents to foster transparency and accountability. 

  • Support and Mentor Colleagues 

Your leadership extends beyond tasks as you support and guide the Product Enablement team, providing crucial mentorship and assistance to team members. Additionally, you'll collaborate with the Hostplus training division and the wider Product and Retirement team to develop comprehensive training materials and briefings for our staff. 

  • Your Profile 

We're seeking an individual who embodies leadership qualities and possesses a robust understanding of compliance, particularly in complex sectors like superannuation and financial services. While certifications in project management methods like Agile or Scrum are advantageous, they are not mandatory. However, RG146 compliance in the superannuation industry would be a significant asset.
