About the role:
In this management position you will lead the funds Investment Strategy department on responsible investment practices, ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) integration, Climate Change Policy, active ownership and the portfolio management of responsible investment-based options.
Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
- Lead engagement on corporate governance with investee companies, managers and advisers.
- Provide advice on the active application of ownership rights, including managing the proxy voting policy.
- Ensure the integration of ESG practices, and the consideration of climate change risks, into the relevant policies and into investment decision-making.
- Lead in setting the strategy, the research agenda and the advocacy framework for the Australian Council of Superannuation Investors (ACSI), including participation in Member Council meetings.
- Manage the investment structure and the ongoing management of any responsible investment options (including certifications).
About you:
We are looking for someone who has a passion for sustainability, addressing climate change and investing sustainably for the future well-being of future Australian generations. You'll be someone who has a curious nature and excellent communication & stakeholder management skills, some other key skills & experience you'll need to succeed are:
- Strong knowledge of financial markets and of investments across a broad range of asset classes.
- Experience in and understanding of the superannuation environment.
- A proven ability to apply deep research and analysis to conceptualise and develop solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in the management of responsible investment practices
