By expanding our reach and strengthening partnerships, the Business Development Manager contributes directly to better value and a more secure, dignified retirement for our members.
The opportunity
This is an opportunity to play a key role in growing Hostplus’ presence across Queensland’s financial advice network. As Business Development Manager – Intermediary Distribution, you’ll work at the intersection of relationships, strategy and growth, partnering with financial advisers and licensees to ensure Hostplus products and services are well represented and trusted.
You’ll contribute to the delivery of a national intermediary distribution strategy, build and manage a strong portfolio of partner relationships, and identify opportunities that drive sustainable growth and long‑term member outcomes. Representing Hostplus across industry forums and events, you’ll help strengthen our reputation as a leading, member‑focused superannuation fund.
About you
You’re a commercially minded relationship builder with strong experience in intermediary distribution within superannuation, wealth management or broader financial services. You understand how advisers operate, bring an established network within the Queensland advice community, and are confident engaging with senior stakeholders to influence outcomes.
You bring:
- Demonstrated experience in sales, distribution and stakeholder management within an intermediary environment
- A proven track record of achieving growth and distribution targets
- Strong understanding of financial advice operating models and the broader intermediary landscape
- RG146 accreditation (mandatory), with tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and / or financial planning qualifications (such as a Diploma of Financial Planning or related postgraduate study) being highly regarded.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence and build trust
- A collaborative, adaptable approach and the ability to thrive in a changing environment
- Strong planning, organisation and portfolio management capability, including effective CRM use
- A strong commitment to service excellence and alignment with Hostplus’ member‑first purpose and values
