The Account Manager is responsible for the conservation of the existing employer and member base of the fund, concentrating on a key account allocation. Whilst also contributing to the growth strategy of the fund.
The opportunity
Client Management
- Retention and growth of an employer/member portfolio through various servicing and engagement activities including:
- delivery and execution of formalised client Engagement Strategies to all employer accounts.
- organisation and delivery of education programs for employers/members through a variety of channels including at their workplace or via digital methods.
- support the resolution of administrative issues for employers and members.
- maintain accurate and timely client records within the Hostplus CRM system following visits (and key interactions) to key account employers and members in accordance with the AFSL.
- ensure that national account management guidelines are followed.
- Develop a thorough understanding of Hostplus key account employers and their members and the overall market in which Hostplus operates.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and maintain relationships with prospective employers as well as ensuring the smooth transition of any large new business.
Stakeholder Management
- Develop and maintain strong and valued B2B relationships at all levels of seniority within allocated portfolio of clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners of Hostplus, including attendance at industry and partner events, conferences and awards programs, as required by the State Manager and Executive Manager. This will include a limited number of evening and weekend events across the year.
Reporting
- Completion of quarterly service operational reporting as relates to employer and member service levels.
- Input into the development and execution of an annual state and individual business plan.
- Maintain register of outcome reporting as relates to executed member service initiatives.
Compliance
- Account Managers will undertake ongoing training required to be an approved representative of Hostplus. This is compulsory to comply with the ASIC regulatory requirement RG146 to allow approved representatives to provide general financial advice under the Hostplus Australian Financial Services License.
- Maintain all requirements necessary to hold a Proper Authority under the Hostplus Dealer’s License.
About you
- 3-5 years account management experience within a financial services environment.
- Ability to analyse and understand employer and member data and communicate these insights and trends to relevant parties both internally and externally.
- Ability to develop and implement successful account management and sales strategies, including the development and growth of strong B2B relationships.
- Knowledge of the industrial relations environment and superannuation issues (e.g., State/Federal Awards and EBA’s)
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
- RG146 accreditation is essential
- Diploma of Financial Planning or relevant Tertiary qualifications are desirable.
