About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our team.
As a key player reporting directly to the Executive Manager, Finance, you will play a pivotal role in providing crucial support in monitoring Hostplus’ business performance, including oversight and management of the annual budget, monthly budget variance reporting, reserve management, product costing/pricing, and financial analysis for the Hostplus group of entities.
In addition, this role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership across the business, providing valuable financial insights and guidance to support their strategic and operational decision-making processes. Other key focus areas relating to business performance management, involve ensuring that expenditures remain within the budget parameters, as well as timely reporting to the Board of Directors / CEO and cost management across the organisation.
In addition, this position will lead the proactive management and development of financial reporting methods, practices, policies, procedures, and systems, whilst meeting legislative requirements. Partnering with our third-party administrators to monitor the outsourced accounting systems will be crucial to maintain the security and integrity of Hostplus' accounting data.

To succeed in this role, you will hold a business-related degree and be CA/CPA qualified. Strong knowledge of the superannuation industry and products is desired coupled with significant experience and a proven track record of continuous improvement in developing and delivering business performance reporting, annual budgeting and successful support of business initiatives.
