Your role as Advice Support Officer will be the vital bridge connecting Hostplus members to life-changing financial guidance. You'll help ordinary Australians navigate their financial futures, ensuring they receive the right advice at the right time. 

The opportunity

You'll become the trusted first point of contact for members seeking financial advice, expertly triaging their needs and setting them up for success. Your day will involve qualifying member requirements, determining the most suitable advice pathway, and coordinating the entire advice journey from initial inquiry through to implementation.

Key aspects of your role include:

  • Receiving and triaging member advice requests through our Service Excellence Centre
  • Determining appropriate advice types and service packages tailored to individual member needs
  • Scheduling appointments and preparing comprehensive client files using our XPLAN system
  • Coordinating implementation of agreed advice strategies, including applications and follow-up
  • Supporting our financial planning team with CRM administration and training
  • Contributing to member seminars and workplace presentations

You'll work closely with both members and financial planners, ensuring seamless communication and exceptional service delivery throughout the advice process.

About you

You're an organised professional with experience in administrative or associate roles, ideally within financial services. You understand the personal financial planning process and can communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous administrative experience in a corporate environment (financial planning experience highly valued)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks, work autonomously, and meet deadlines consistently
  • Experience with financial planning software (XPLAN knowledge particularly beneficial)
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to excellent customer service

Essential qualifications:

  • Completed or currently studying towards a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning,
  • Kaplan Generic Knowledge + Tier 1 Superannuation — General Advice (or similar from another provider)
  • Diploma of Financial Planning or Superannuation (CPD Maintained)
