About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Product and Retirement Solutions this role represents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and talented platform product manager to support Hostplus’ continuing strategic growth objectives through the development and execution of our platform products and product distribution strategies.

As Product Manager – Investment Platforms, you will be responsible for the leading and owning the end-to end development, delivery, and lifecycle management of our platform-based products and solutions. This includes our popular member-directed investment option (Choiceplus) and our innovative and multi-awarded investment solution for Self-Managed Super Fund investors, Self-Managed Invest (SMI). You will also more broadly play an important and visible role in providing strategic product strategy, distribution strategy and operational execution advice to our leadership team.

About you:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in managing and developing a platform-based product or related product management capacity
  • Sound understanding of the workings of various product distribution channels, particularly products distributed via the intermediated channels
  • Prior experience in developing and executing product and distribution strategies and product roadmaps
  • Extensive applied technical knowledge of the superannuation and wealth management industries, including understanding of key platform-based products
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop solutions to key issues • Strong demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven stakeholder engagement, negotiation and management skills
  • Applied project management experience, preferably in the context of product development, and delivering go-to-market strategies to scope and schedule
  • Strong ability to manage own and others time effectively and efficiently
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, marketing or a related role and industry-specific disclipline
  • RG 146 Compliant
