About the role:

As the Advice Support Manager (ASM) your primary purpose will be to lead, manage, coach, mentor and motivate the ASOs in the execution of their roles ensuring efficiency and success across the team.

You will play an active role in the day-to-day management of the advice administration tasks with a focus on timeliness, quality assurance, efficiency and achieving high standards of service. You will also work closely with other internal departments to identify and champion continuous process improvements, reduce risks and develop operational strategies to achieve superior member experiences and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Advice Support team to work in an efficient and collaborative manner with the Financial Planning and Advice teams to ensure the efficient delivery of financial advice services to members and the timely, accurate and compliant implementation and application of all client advice.
  • Lead, manage and assist the Advice Support team to: assess and triage members’ personal advice requirements within agreed standards and processes, compliance and quality standards
  • Assist members in the pre-advice process, including collating required information from the member
  • As appropriate, provide general advice in line with RG146 and AFSL restrictions
  • Schedule appointments for members to meet with either a Superannuation Adviser or Financial Planner
  • Brief members on advice process, fees and related information
  • Create, update and maintain client advice records in financial planning system, CRM and relevant databases
  • Obtain relevant member information, including actioning third party authorities and researching external funds / accounts
  • Assist Superannuation Advisers and Financial Planners in their providing timely, high-quality, compliant advice to members
  • Assist in the follow-up of any required material needed for the completion of Statements of Advice
  • Assist members in the implementation of advice provided and follow up application forms, transfers switches or related actions
  • Identify and introduce improvements to the client and administration processes.
  • Keep abreast of any compliance and regulatory changes that impact our advice services’ administration, compliance, management and business processes.

About you:

  •  You will have 3-5 years’ experience in superannuation or similar financial services organisation and have your RG146 qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of superannuation legislation and operational requirements
  • In depth understanding of current superannuation industry reforms
  • Strong leadership experience with proven ability to positively contribute to driving and managing change within a team
  • Proven experience in an admin support/associate/financial planner environment
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, lead and motivate a team.
  • Proven ability to manage daily objectives in line with expectations and to monitor performance of team
  • Proven ability to set and to achieve goals.
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
