The opportunity
Are you currently working in the superannuation industry and looking to take the next step in your career? Hostplus is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Account Manager (Associate). This role is perfect for someone who has experience in the superannuation sector and is eager to transition into account management. You will play a pivotal role in retaining and strengthening relationships with our existing employer and member base. This will be achieved through the proactive management of key employer accounts and fostering strong connections with their key contacts. In this hybrid role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional in-person and digitally driven services to a dedicated portfolio of Hostplus employers. Additionally, you will deliver workplace and digital education initiatives, while also providing content and campaign support, all aimed at enhancing member outcomes.
Some Key Responsibilities:
- Retention and growth of an employer/member portfolio through various servicing and engagement activities
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and business partners, including attendance at industry and partner events, conferences and awards programs (This will include a limited number of evening and weekend events across the year)
- Develop and maintain strong and valued B2B relationships at all levels of seniority within allocated portfolio of clients
- Delivery and execution of formalised client Engagement Strategies to all employer accounts
- Develop a thorough understanding of key account employers and their members and the overall market in which Hostplus operates
- Identify, develop and win new business, maintaining relationships with prospective employers as well as ensuring the smooth transition of any large new business wins
About you:
- Minimum of 3 years in a client-facing role, preferably within superannuation or financial services.
- Ability to develop and implement effective account management and sales strategies, fostering strong B2B relationships.
- Technical proficiency in all aspects of superannuation.
- Knowledge of the industrial relations environment and superannuation issues (e.g., State/Federal Awards and EBAs).
- Understanding of Hostplus Trust Deed, administration processes, and service standards.
- Ability to analyse and interpret employer and member data, effectively communicating insights and trends to relevant internal and external parties.
- RG146 Accreditation mandatory.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are desirable.
