About the role:
The Operations Insurance Manager will provide operational co-ordination and support across the operations business units. Problem solving, analysing strengths/weaknesses and articulating opportunities across the operations of the fund are a critical part of this role and responsibility. Formalising reporting and following the change management methodology is a key element.
This position will manage and monitor change from the beginning to the end of the program and tracking the outcomes of the change will form part of the end-to-end management.
Participation in projects from Insurance, Service Delivery and Operations will also be a key part of this role.
These are some of the key responsibilities you will be expected to meet key performance indicators for:
- End to end oversight of change management across the insurance operations
- Adherence to the funds change management methodology and tracking of changes
- Coordinate, prioritise and change requests, changes and events as required from business, ensuring effective delivery and outcomes of business needs
- Work closely with vendors to ensure prioritised requirements, incidents and other requests are delivered on time and to requirement
- Develop and implement quarterly department planning ensuring all seasonal impacts are reviewed, maximized and managed efficiently
- Ensure that Hostplus is operating efficiently and effectively, in line with best practice principles for the fund and in the best interests of our members and employers
About you:
To hit the ground running in your new role, you will have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent years of experience, and proven experience in insurance operations in the superannuation or insurance industry.
You have a clear understanding of contractual obligations, you follow internal policies and adhere to governing frameworks. You have a good working knowledge of business process and data flows, experience in analysing and implementing change, and effective communication skills to contribute change management between internal and external stakeholders.
