About the role:

Joining our superannuation advice team, you will be the first point of contact for members seeking more detailed financial advice, you'll provide phone and internet based general, limited scope / Intrafund advice to our members over the phone as well as arranging appointments with Hostplus Financial Planners where advice needs are more complex.

Some of your other key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide members, as appropriate, with accurate and timely general and intra-fund (scoped) advice over the phone in accordance with Hostplus’ AFSL and RG 244 and related regulatory requirements.
  • Assist members using Hostplus’ online limited advice tool, Super Adviser, and as the tool’s subject matter expert, actively contribute to its continuous improvement for enhanced service delivery.
  • Provide assistance to the financial planners in the timely authorising, securing and provision of relevant member data for the purposes of financial planning activities.
  • Participate as required in Hostplus marketing campaigns, promotions and other strategic activities involving the financial planning department.

About you:

To be successful in this position you must be RG146 & FASEA Compliant and have a Diploma of Financial Services - Financial Planning. You'll have demonstrated experience in financial planning, paraplanning or a similar client servicing position and a sound working knowledge of superannuation, investment and insurance products and knowledge of these products use in the execution of financial advice strategies.

Some other key skills & knowledge we're looking for:

  • Practical knowledge of, and experience in using, financial planning software and CRM systems (XPlan or similar) and the maintenance of detailed client and practitioner notes and records using such systems.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant superannuation and taxation legislation, including SIS, SG, FOFA and MySuper regulations.
  • A high commitment to delivering quality advice and service whilst being an active member of a productive team, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Well-developed written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of self-management in order to manage a busy work schedule, work autonomously and a willingness to embrace ambiguity and change.
