About the role:
Joining us in this 9-Month Fixed Term Position as one of our Insurance Relationship Coordinators you will provide superior customer service and a positive claim experience to Hostplus members, claimants and third party representatives when handling the end to end management of superannuation insurance claims and non-insured claims.
Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the end to end servicing of claims for Hostplus members and their dependants, focusing on positive relationships, you will be responsible for a portfolio of claims in which you will need to manage on a day to day basis.
- Take ownership of member/dependant problems and issues to create a positive customer experience
- You will be confident to liaise with doctors, rehabilitation providers and advisors and request medical and financial information;
- Provide a high level of understanding of the Hostplus product, claims, medical terms and the role and responsibility of a Trustee including legislations for Superannuation and Life insurance.
- Monitor and manage respective insurers and ensure claims are progressing in accordance with service level agreements;
About you:
At the positions core we are looking for someone with empathy, a highly developed communication style and strong attention to detail. Key attributes and experience that will see you exceed are:
- A compressive knowledge of life insurance claims and insurance administration - 4-5 years’ experience within the Superannuation insurance claims and administration industry.
- Medical – tertiary or degree qualified in Allied Health field
- Knowledge of superannuation and life insurance legislation and operational requirements.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
