How will you make an impact?

You will support members with gaining greater financial wellness through the provision of limited scope personal advice.

The opportunity

As a key member of our Superannuation Advice team, you’ll be the first point of contact for members seeking personalised financial guidance. You’ll deliver high-quality, limited-scope (intrafund) advice via video conference, phone, and face-to-face meetings. Where members require more comprehensive support, you’ll refer them to Hostplus’ in-house Financial Planners and Scaled Advisers.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Provide members, as appropriate, with accurate and timely, limited scope intra-fund personal advice in accordance with relevant AFSL policies and related regulatory requirements.
  • Participate as required in the provision of limited scope intra-fund advice at Employers within our employer network.
  • Generate referrals and appointments for Hostplus’ scaled advisers and financial planners.
  • Participate as required in marketing campaigns, promotions and other strategic activities involving the financial planning department.

About you:

  • To be successful in this position you must be RG146 & must have passed the FASEA exam and have a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning or attained the minimum education and training standards, met the requirements or are scheduled to finish prior to 1 January 2026
  • You'll have demonstrated experience in financial planning, paraplanning or a similar client servicing position and a sound working knowledge of superannuation, investment and insurance products and knowledge of these products use in the execution of financial advice strategies.
  • Practical knowledge of, and experience in using, financial planning software and CRM systems (XPlan or similar) and the maintenance of detailed client and practitioner notes and records using such systems.
  • Sound knowledge of relevant superannuation and taxation legislation, including SIS, SG, FOFA and MySuper regulations.
  • A high commitment to delivering quality advice and service whilst being an active member of a productive team, including the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of people
  • Well-developed written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of self-management in order to manage a busy work schedule, work autonomously and a willingness to embrace ambiguity and change.
