The Digital Product Manager is responsible for shaping and executing the strategic vision for our digital channels. Serving as the key interface between business SMEs, vendors, and our members, this role ensures alignment with business objectives and delivers an exceptional user experience. 

The opportunity

  • Strategic Roadmap Shaping and Delivery: You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders and SMEs to translate strategy into a digital vision, leading product discovery to identify opportunities that enhance member experience and drive business impact. You’ll oversee development, delivery, and continuous improvement to align with business objectives and enhance member experience. 
  • Design Expertise: Leverage your deep expertise in designing digital experiences. You’ll provide leadership to enhance the funds digital presence. 
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors to ensure seamless execution of digital initiatives. You’ll oversee vendor relationships, budgets, and performance evaluations. Your goal is to maximize value from external resources while maintaining alignment with our strategic objectives. 
  • Value-Driven Features: Analyze and refine business strategies and requirements into features and user stories that create value for our members and the business. 
  • Collaboration: Work closely with SMEs, digital leads, designers, architects, business stakeholders, and technical teams.  
  • Product Backlog Management: Create, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog. When applicable, define release and sprint goals, adding detail to user stories. 
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to ongoing product iteration, managing changes, fixes, optimizations, and larger roadmap initiatives. 
  • Data-Driven Insights: Collaborate with data and analytics teams to capture customer behaviours. Use these insights to inform decisions and drive product development. 
  • Experience Crafting: Partner with user experience, visual designers, and agency partners to define engaging and delightful member experiences. 
  • Leadership: Coach and mentor staff and provide input into their career development. 

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in technology discipline.
  • Certifications(s) from Google, Adobe, Marketo or Salesforce highly regarded.
  • Delivery: Proven track record of optimising digital experiences and meeting KPIs. 
  • Product Manager Experience: Several years of experience in digital product management or product owner roles, with a strong understanding of the product and development processes, ideally in the financial services sector. 
  • Vendor management experience: ideally in an outsourced, multi-vendor environment.  
  • Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work closely with key stakeholders (internal and external) and proactively seek engagement.
  • Communication: Demonstrated exceptional communication skills.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to collaborate with data and analytics teams to capture customer behaviours and use these insights to inform decisions and drive product development. High familiarity with Adobe/Google analytics and performance management.
  • Digital Experience Platforms: Experience working with digital experience platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce or Sitecore.
