In this role, you will play a critical part in strengthening Hostplus’ technology risk and governance environment. By supporting a large-scale uplift program across cyber and technology controls, you will help ensure our systems are secure, resilient, and compliant in an evolving threat landscape. Your work will directly contribute to safeguarding member data, enhancing operational integrity, and enabling the delivery of trusted services that support our members’ financial futures.

The opportunity

This is an exciting six-month fixed term opportunity to join our Technology team as an Analyst – Technology Governance, where you will support the delivery and governance of a strategic technology uplift program.

Working within the first line of defence, you will:

  • Support the design, implementation, and ongoing governance of technology and cyber controls across key domains, including Vulnerability Management, Identity & Access Management, Backup & Disaster Recovery, AI Governance, and Security Monitoring
  • Assist in validating that controls are effectively designed, implemented, and embedded into BAU processes
  • Contribute to program governance and reporting, including tracking risks, issues, and progress, and preparing insights for senior forums such as the Audit Committee and Board
  • Review outputs and closure documentation to ensure control uplift activities are complete, evidence-based, and audit-defensible
  • Partner with technology and risk stakeholders across 1LOD and 2LOD to drive alignment, consistency, and improved risk outcomes
  • Support the embedding of sustainable technology risk and compliance practices aligned with regulatory standards, including APRA CPS 234 and CPS 230

This role will see you contribute to uplifting Hostplus’ overall risk maturity, helping to build a secure, well-governed, and resilient technology environment.

About you

You are a collaborative risk or technology professional who thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving governance and control frameworks.

You will bring:

  • Experience in technology risk, cyber risk, transformation, consulting, or control assurance
  • Understanding of technology risk and control frameworks across areas such as vulnerability management, IAM, backup and recovery, and security monitoring
  • Working knowledge of APRA prudential standards (CPS 234 and CPS 230) or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Experience supporting control testing, issue management, and root cause analysis
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, structured reporting for governance forums

Experience within superannuation or financial services will be highly regarded.
