The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our busy workshop team in Adelaide. Based in our Cavan branch, this role will see you prepare new earthmoving equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic, repair and maintenance service in a professional, timely manner.

You will be responsible for:

  • Diagnostic, repairs and maintenance of new and used equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and or specified times targeting improved punctuality and job efficiency.
  • Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
  • Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports

To be successful in this role:

  • Minimum Certificate III in a Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent discipline (Diesel Mechanic).
  • Have previous experience with the overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on earthmoving equipment
  • Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic ability
  • An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures
  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills & the ability to work autonomously & within in a team environment
