The Opportunity

HCA's Wacol branch has an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified fitter or mechanic looking to move into a corporate office-based role as a Technical Report Writer. The main focus of the role is to compile detailed technical reports relating to our re-manufactured components for internal and external customers. You will also:

  • Conduct failure investigations for Reman components with the support of the product support team
  • Creating technical reports for warranty claim
  • Creating and updating report templates to industry standards
  • Maintain records relating to component failure mode data and monitor failure trends
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth technical understanding of the relevant Hitachi Reman product and customer expectations

To be successful in this role you will have relevant mechanical trade qualifications (fitter or mechanic). You will also have:

  • Experience working as a fully qualified HD Fitter, Diesel Mechanic or Fitter Machinist (or similar)
  • Experience in similar technical role with a strong technical background would be advantageous
  • Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes within engineering and earthmoving industries would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication and intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Word & Excel
