The Opportunity

HCA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Service Coordinator. Based in our Emerald branch, the key focus of this role is to provide technical guidance and leadership to our field service technicians for the Greater Emerald region.

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will also:

  • 7-7 roster based in the Emerald branch, home every night.
  • Ensure our field service employees comply with all WHS responsibilities, and that above all, a safety-first culture is a consistent behavior within the team
  • Mentor, guide and support the team to improve performance and efficiencies.
  • Ensure efficient utilisation of equipment and resources in line with customer requirements and agreed budgets
  • Provide technical guidance and support to field service team members
  • Supervise the time sheet accuracy and sub-contract documentation to enable prompt job costing
  • Provide timely and accurate quotations for field service activities
  • Support existing customers through maintaining strong communication while proactively resolving issues

As the ideal candidate you will also have:

  • Experience in a similar position with the ability to demonstrate exceptional communication and customer service skills while managing your time efficiently within a high paced work environment
  • A strong ability to navigate complex issues, and be ambitious in achieving success
  • A strong understanding in financial best practices of service delivery including labour, overtime, overnight accommodation and travel recovery
  • Attention to detail in documenting and follow-up
  • A Safety First leadership style
  • A strong technical understanding of earthmoving equipment, or relevant trade qualifications equal to or within a related field. Previous OEM experience will be highly advantageous
