The Opportunity

Hitachi currently has an opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Technical Services Specialist to join our dynamic Fleet Management System (FMS) team. This role can be based in our Perth or Brisbane Branch.

Working with the National Operations Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Delivery and installation of products to customers
  • Diagnosis of reported problems
  • Review and contribute to product documentation
  • Repair embedded computer systems hardware
  • Plan and practice for system implementation and upgrade projects

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • In field experience with technology products.
  • Proven experience installing and supporting complex IT systems in the field
  • Hands-on hardware and software system level troubleshooting
  • An understanding of wireless and radio propagation principles
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • An ability to clearly communicate technical concepts
  • Willing to learn new technologies and new ways of approaching projects
  • Frequent travel to remote mine sites will be required
