 About the Opportunity

With our newly constructed workshop, we have multiple Trades Assistant position available to join our team based in Gunnedah. In this role, you will build on your existing mechanical skills, responsible for providing general workshop assistance to our fitters and electricians. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career with a global company.

 As a key member of the team your duties will be to:

  • A strong safety focus and ability to work within HCA guidelines
  • Support and work with our team of mechanical and electrical tradesmen
  • Take responsibility for workshop tooling and equipment by planning and returning all tools and reporting any damage
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance works in accordance with OEM specifications
  • Assist in the identification of continuous improvement opportunities within your area of responsibility

Be conversant with and take an active part in all quality procedures

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Mechanical experience and / or aptitude – Light vehicle mechanics are encouraged to apply
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current Drivers License
  • High Risk Work License – Forklift
  • Additional licenses such as rigging, dogging, working at heights (desirable)
