The Opportunity

Our Cavan branch is on the lookout for a driven sales professional to join our high-performing team as a Customer Support Representative. This role will see you promoting market leading products across the quality Hitachi range through a mix of account management and business development. You will be responsible for partnering with and providing support to our Major Accounts and Regional South Australian customers.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Establishing and maintaining successful working relationships with customers
  • Promotion of the Hitachi range of parts and service solutions to achieve budgeted sales targets
  • Undertake customer machine inspections with a high attention to detail
  • Identify areas for business growth and develop suitable strategies to generate parts and service sales
  • Efficiently liaise with current and potential customer base with accurate reporting of activity, sales, opportunities and market activity
  • Working to a customer call cycle and actively building parts & service quotes tailored to customers’ needs
  • Ensuring that all interactions with customers and internal stakeholders are conducted professionally and all requests are followed up as required

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous sales experience is desirable but not essential
  • Previous employment in the construction or earthmoving industry is ideal
  • Genuine desire to deliver Hitachi's Promise of Total Customer Satisfaction as you develop and maintain positive relationships with customers
  • A mechanical aptitude or trade background is desirable but not essential
  • Confident, courteous and professional communication and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work autonomously 
  • A current driver’s license and the ability to travel
