The Opportunity
Hitachi has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Storeperson to join our Parts and Warehousing department at our Dandenong branch. Reporting to the Parts Manager, you will be involved in the coordination and logistics behind the supply of quality parts to our much-loved customer base.
You will be responsible for providing a range of OEM level services from receiving, picking and packing along with dispatching parts and equipment.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Picking and packing of parts orders
- Loading and unloading of freight
- Quality control checks and audits
- Providing service to both internal and external customers for parts
- Maintaining computer records and stock figures
- Liaising with freight providers to manage dispatch of parts
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Previous stores/warehouse experience
- A current forklift licence
- Experience receipting inbound deliveries as well as picking, packing and preparing outbound orders
- Strong computer literacy
- Ability to manage competing priorities and achieve excellent customer service
- A strong safety focus and understanding of safety management
