The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a trade qualified HD Fitter to join our team based at Boddington as a Site Supervisor. Working an 8/6 7/7 roster, DIDO. This permanent role will allow you to access OEM training while you build a long-term career in a global company. Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, you will work as part of a team and drive the reliability of the mobile fleet while keeping an impeccable safety record. 

You will be responsible for:

  • All aspects of supervising a team and ensuring they are following safety and operational procedures
  • Assisting the onsite coordinator with planning and relevant paperwork
  • Providing assistance to service personnel as required with performing maintenance repairs on our equipment
  • Identify areas for improvement and work with the customer to address any shortcomings
  • Escalate all issues to relevant teams and within a timely manner
  • At all times maintain an open communication and good working relationship with customers, peers and other departments
  • Ensure that all interactions with internal and external customers and stakeholders is professional and courteous as you are required to continuously ‘Promote & Enhance’ Hitachi’s relationship with our customer

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Relevant Diesel or Mobile Plant Mechanic trade qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Supervisory Role with frontline operational staff, with the desire to develop, influence and motivate the team
  • Working knowledge of planning and scheduling with the ability to deliver in tight timeframes
  • Demonstrated background experience with Hitachi mobile equipment will be highly regarded
  • Good communication and customer service skills and the ability to build long term relationships
  • Safety focus and abide by site safety processes
