The opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Safety, Quality & Environment (SQE) Supervisor to join our team working on a large residential project.

In this role you will support the Site Manager and Project Manager to ensure the construction site operates safely, by working directly with the site team to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and Hindmarsh’s national safety and quality framework.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the site team in the organisation and management of safety, quality and environment (SQE) activities
  • Implement internal SQE systems and processes on assigned project site/s;
  • Carry out workplace hazard identification and risk assessments;
  • Obtain and manage SQE documentation requirements;
  • Communicate SQE issues to employees, subcontractors and management.

Required skills and experience

  • Minimum 3 years' field experience in Occupational Health & Safety in the construction industry
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of Work, Health & Safety legislation, regulations, standards and codes of practice
  • The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety, or a related qualification
  • Senior First Aid Qualifications
