The Role 

• Bellerive Retirement Village - Casual day shifts during school hours
• The Grange Deakin Retirement Village – Casual evening shifts are from 4.30pm – 7.30pm. 

Food Services Assistants are responsible for serving food and beverages to residents and their guests in the Café or Dining areas in Hindmarsh’s independent living retirement villages.

• Ensure dining area is kept clean, tidy and hygienic throughout, including the kitchen servery area and the sitting area
• Serve food and coffee orders
• Clear away used crockery from tables, clean and prepare tables
• Wash used dishes, cutlery and cooking utensils
• Light vacuuming and tidying of dining areas ready for the next day’s operation
• Keep records and make reports as part of our Food Safety procedures
• Set up and pack down of café or dining rooms for catered functions and events
