Senior Contract Administrator

With continued growth across our South Australian business, Hindmarsh is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our Adelaide team and take a leading commercial role on a major high-rise residential project.

This is an opportunity to take real ownership of the commercial performance of a complex project, working closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager while being supported by an experienced leadership team.

As a Senior Contracts Administrator at Hindmarsh, you will lead procurement, subcontractor and head contract management, manage commercial risk and provide commercial guidance to the wider project team.

You will be responsible for:

• Leading procurement, including tendering, assessment and negotiation of major subcontract packages
• Managing head contract and subcontract administration throughout project delivery
• Managing progress claims, variations, EOTs and subcontractor claims
• Forecasting and reporting on project financial performance, including cashflow, costs and commercial risk
• Monitoring project costs against budget and identifying risks and opportunities
• Providing commercial advice and guidance to the Project Manager and wider project team
• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors
• Leading commercial and variation review processes
• Supporting project close-out, including financial completion and finalisation of subcontract accounts
• Mentoring and supporting Contract Administrators and Cadets within the project team

We are looking for team members who have:

• 5+ years' proven commercial construction experience, ideally within a head contractor environment
• Experience working on large-scale construction projects, with high-rise residential experience highly regarded
• Strong knowledge of procurement, contract administration, variations, claims and commercial reporting
• Familiarity with contract law principles and relevant construction legislation
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
• Experience mentoring or supporting developing commercial team members
• Experience using CHEOPS, Aconex or similar construction software
