The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Junior BI Analyst. In this role, you will play a crucial part in designing and implementing BI solutions that provide valuable insights into our business and help stakeholders effectively manage their departments. This full-time position is based in our Mt Waverley Office and works within a national team to support our local and interstate businesses.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Assist in the strategic design and implementation of BI solutions to deliver key insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and create effective solutions.
- Support the development and maintenance of reporting platforms, ensuring accessibility and ease of use.
- Participate in data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Contribute to the presentation of data through visually engaging dashboards and reports.
- Assist the IT service desk team with resolving BI-related tickets
To succeed, you’ll need to demonstrate:
- Degree or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Computer Science, Business Analytics).
- Entry-level experience in working with data and analytical tools (SQL, Excel, etc.).
- Familiarity with reporting concepts and visualisation techniques is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset with an attention to detail.
- Proficiency in SQL or other data querying languages.
- Basic understanding of data modelling and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey insights and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform would be advantageous
