  • Strong foundations to support you. We invest in your future.
  • Be well. We care for your safety & well being
  • Feel appreciated. We're grateful for everything you do!

When you join Henley, you’ll have a big part to play in helping us design and build homes and communities that will bring more families and friends together. Because at Henley, we don’t just build homes, we help change and improve lives. Our purpose is to create better, happier and healthier environments for families across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales and South Australia.

We have built over 58,000 homes across Australia under the brands Henley Homes, Plantation Homes and Edgewater Homes. This makes us the 6th largest detached home builder in Australia 2022/23, and we’re just getting started!

We are currently seeking a People and Culture Manager to join our national People, Culture, and Safety team, based in Mount Waverley.

About your new career

The first thing you’ll notice is that 97% of our people are proud to work for Henley and say that it is a great place to work. We’re confident you’ll think so too.

We're proud to support over 600 team members across Australia - with our biggest teams in Victoria (380) and Queensland (200), alongside our small but mighty offices in South Australia and New South Wales.

This is a true generalist role where you’ll enjoy plenty of variety in your day-to-day. Reporting to the GM of People, Culture and Safety, you will work with a national team to deliver projects focused on culture, development, diversity and inclusion, industrial relations and governance – all of which have a meaningful impact on the work lives of our valued team.

As a natural developer of strong relationships, you’ll partner with the leadership team to achieve business goals through a balanced lens of people and commercial outcomes. You’re a trusted advisor and are known for being an impartial advocate for both employee and business.

Around here, we give back and make our community a better place and you’ll make a difference when leading and participating in initiatives that support our philanthropic program. We leave our ego on the hook, and don’t take ourselves too seriously. We challenge ourselves to keep learning and our strong relationships are built on trust and respect.

A bit about you

You are an experienced P&C Manager with broad knowledge of the Australian industrial landscape. You’re a confident communicator and you’re good at keeping it simple. You know that in order to challenge business leaders to think differently and creatively solve problems, you have to understand how the business works. With two direct reports of your own, you are committed to developing future HR leaders, showing others how it’s done through your own commitment to lifelong learning.

Additionally, you:

  • Have exceptional coaching and influencing skills
  • Pay attention to detail and accuracy of information, are data oriented and articulate
  • Are partial to a loud t-shirt (check out our socials for the work we do with Trademutt!)
  • Have completed a relevant tertiary degree (bonus points for post-grad study)
  • Are humble, reliable and collaborative
  • Show flexibility - ready to pivot without breaking a sweat and you just get things done

You’ll love this about us:

You’ll have support and flexibility to balance the important things in your work and home life. Not only that, you’ll also get immediate access to discounts from over 400 retailers, additional leave days, an extensive wellness program and most importantly – a great team who love what they do, and who they do it with.

Join Our Team:

At Henley, we celebrate all cultures and know that the more diverse and inclusive we are, the better we can serve our community. We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the lands on which we build our homes and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging. We are proud to be part of the Sumitomo Forestry Group and our shared philosophy of fairness and integrity.

We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
