Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable

Here at Haymes Paint we are seeking an experienced and vibrant Finance Officer - Accounts Receivable to join our Accounts team and the broader Haymes Paint family!

You will be someone who enjoys customer interaction, is proactive and enjoys the challenge of resolving debtor issues.

Some of your responsibilities will include, onboarding new customers, responding to queries and to diligently manage and optimise the collection of receivables fostering strong relationships with our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Credit Controller, the role will include but not be limited to:

  • Ensure processing deadlines and collection targets are met
  • Prepare files for transfer to the Debt Recovery Agency as required
  • Prepare and generate standard and ad hoc reporting as required
  • Allocation and receipting of payments
  • Set up of new accounts and customers, completion of credit checks
  • Providing high level customer support to internal and external stakeholders to investigate & resolve account enquiries using an established CRM system
  • High volume inbound/outbound telephone calls with internal and external stakeholders, stores and customers.


About you:

  • Relevant qualification in business administration, accounting, finance or equivalent competency (preferred but not essential)
  • Excellent customer service with strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident IT skills, with proven experience in finance systems (Pronto experience is advantageous, but not essential)
  • Strong organisational skills with a focus on KPI's and collection targets
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Confidence in analysing customer account data, identifying patterns and reporting accurately
