Sales Assistant- Newmarket

Due to a HUGE demand in the community, Haymes Paint Newmarket has a newly created role for a colour enthusiast to join their team as the newest Sales Assistant.

If you thrive in a customer service environment, love the energy of providing outcomes to others, then being a Haymes Paint Sales Assistant is your next role. As the Sales Assistant you will provide outstanding service to our customers, providing solutions, handling payments, tinting paint, replenishing stock and maintaining high quality store presentation standards.

Responsibilities:

• Provide service, advice and product solutions to both trade and retail customers
• Handle all paint related questions for all customers, including tinting paint products and colour matching to customer requirements
• Inventory control (goods receiving/stocktaking), stock replenishment
• Take orders in-store and by phone
• Build strong relationships with repeat customers
• Comply with safe work practices

About you:

• Previous experience working in a customer service role
• A willingness to learn, grow and develop with Haymes Paint
• Experience with stock handling and merchandising
• Confidence to perform manual tasks
• Point of Sale (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvy
• Trade/paint experience is highly regarded, but not essential
