About the role:

We’re looking for a talented Designer to bring creative excellence to our in-house team. Working closely with our Creative Lead, Senior Graphic Designer, and the wider marketing team, you’ll help bring the Haymes Paint brand to life across a range of design projects, including print, digital, and packaging.

This part-time role (3 days a week) offers variety, flexibility, ownership, and the opportunity to make a real impact. If you’re a brand guardian with a sharp eye, an adaptable mindset, and 2-4 years of experience backed by an impressive portfolio, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Graphic Design & Asset Creation: You will assist in the design and rollout of marketing materials across both print and digital channels, including flyers, brochures, social media assets, and point-of-sale materials. This includes contributing to the creation of high-quality packaging and labels that reflect Haymes Paint’s premium brand standards, template creation, and photo retouching.

Brand Consistency & Quality Control: A key focus will be maintaining consistency across all design assets in alignment with Haymes Paint’s brand guidelines. You will also support the production of corporate materials such as stationery, event collateral, internal communications, and interactive forms, ensuring brand alignment across all touchpoints.

Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: You will provide day-to-day design support in response to briefs from various teams, collaborating closely with marketing, internal stakeholders, and the wider design team to ensure timely and aligned creative solutions.

Production Oversight & Supplier Coordination: You will be liaising with print and collateral suppliers to ensure that all materials are produced to a high standard, meeting brand specifications, and quality expectations.

Digital Asset & File Management: You will be responsible for maintaining and updating the Digital Asset Management (DAM) library, this includes images, logos and icons.

Innovation and Improvement: You will actively contribute to the refinement of design workflows and creative processes, identifying opportunities improve design output.

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in Graphic Design
  • 2–4 years of graphic design experience, ideally in an in-house environment
  • Strong skills in layout, typography, and attention to detail across both print and digital formats
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite, including:
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • (After Effects is a plus, but not essential)
  • Proficient in Figma for digital and UI design
  • Skilled in all aspects of the design process, including:
  • Concept development
  • Finished art
  • Asset delivery
  • Experience with project management and digital asset management platforms is an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, with a positive attitude and the ability to take direction and feedback constructively.
