This role is being offered as permanent full-time.

Reporting to both the Financial Controller and the General Manager, Claremont Quarter, your role as Property Accountant is to maintain strong financial management including accurate and timely financial reporting, forcaseting and budgeting, and when required, feasability modeling.

You responsibilities will include but extend beyond:

  • Supporting the financial management of the Claremont Quarter portfolio.
  • Financial reporting to internal management including budgeting, reforecasting, accruals, VO’s and variance analysis.
  • Maintain long term financial forecasts ensuring reliability, accuracy and reasonableness of assumptions applied.
  • Financial (Yardi) system maintenance and administration.
  • Scrutinise and analyse information generated by systems and/or provided by property team members.
  • Preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly review reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and validate financial data, and identify opportunities for improvement, including continual and detailed review of property expenses and identification of improvement/efficiency opportunities.
  • Management and coordination of VO and Promotional fund audits. 

 About you

  • Tertiary qualification in accounting with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position of Finance Manager or Property Accountant (CA preferred).
  • Property valuations knowledge.
  • Related experience in Financial Accounting; systems and reporting processes with previous exposure to property forecasting & valuation systems.
  • Highly proficient in the use of computers and able to quickly learn new systems with training.
